ASI Supplement for TRICARE Eligible Employees

The Office of Group Benefits has contracted with the Association
and Society Insurance Corporation (ASI) to administer a
Supplemental Insurance for certain TRICARE and CHAMPVA eligible
employees that will significantly reduce the cost of their
coverage. This special program, known as the TRICARE Supplemental
medical plan, may be available to you and your eligible dependents.
The State pays the premium for you and your eligible family members
to enroll. You may be eligible for the Supplement if:

  • You are under the age of 65 (not Medicare eligible),
    and;
  • Either you or your spouse are retired from the U.S. Military,
    and;
  • You are insured under one of the Tricare plans (with the
    exception of Tricare-for-Life);
  • If you are eligible for the Supplement and if you are
    presently enrolled in an OGB plan, you may change plans during
    April’s Annual Enrollment.
  • If you are actively employed and eligible for the Supplement,
    but are not presently enrolled in an OGB plan, you may sign up as
    a late applicant.

Enrolling in or changing to the Supplement is easy.
Simply go to Human Resources Office and inform them of your
decision. They will make a copy of your military ID card and will
help you complete an enrollment form. If you have questions please
