HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University’s Office of Regional Planning will host a free workshop on the Louisiana Land Use Toolkit on Friday, April 17, 9-11:30 a.m., at the university’s Southeast Louisiana Business Center, 1514 Martens Drive in Hammond.

“The goal of this unique project, which is recommended in the Louisiana Speaks Regional Plan, is to provide local jurisdictions with an online source for model codes that will facilitate sustainable development and guide improved future outcomes,” said Sandy Summers, assistant director of Southeastern’s Small Business Development Center. “The toolkit functions as a shared resource from which parishes and municipalities can adopt a complete development code or select cafeteria-style from individual tools that meet their specific needs.”

For more information or to register, contact Bennett Hilley of the Center for Planning Excellence at bhilley@c-pex.org or call 225-267-6300. Please include your name, email address, phone number and the name of your organization.
