Mission Statement

The mission of the Turtle Cove Environmental Research Station is to facilitate and support a better understanding of Southeast Louisiana’s coastal wetland environments through research, education, and public outreach activities and programs for Southeastern students, faculty and staff as well as the greater University community.

Field Trip Information

Our Galva Canal Boatshed Complex in Manchac is in full operation, but the main Turtle Cove Guest House on Pass Manchac is still undergoing renovations from Hurricane Ida.

Spring 2025 Field Trip Schedule

Single groups (up to 30 people): Wednesdays and Fridays from 9/9:30 am – 12/12:30 pm

Double groups (up to 60 people): Wednesdays from 9:00 am – 12:30 pm
