Active Shooter Preparedness

Faculty and close friends are often in a better position to recognize when a student
is experiencing some type of distress.

Prompt action to early warning signs and connecting the student to support services,
could be the difference between a situation escalating into a deeper or tragic matter.

Sometimes we experience troubling behavior in the classroom or on campus, but are
uncertain what we should do. You should not feel that you are alone when you are concerned
for someone’s well-being.

The Student Threat Assessment & Response Team (START) encourages you to R.O.A.R. – Reach Out And Respond.
