Department of Communication and Media Studies

The mission of Southeastern Louisiana University’s Communication unit is to develop student competencies in oral, written, and visual communication by providing opportunities for focused study and research in television production, strategic communication, multi-platform journalism, and sports communication. All course work is portfolio-driven, meaning that students will be generating media content to use in an online portfolio or demo reel. Acquisition of communication skills will facilitate participation in the economy, development, and culture of southeast Louisiana and beyond.

Southeastern to offer Masters Degree in Strategic Communication

Southeastern Louisiana University’s Department of Communication and Media Studies is now offering a graduate degree in strategic communication. Designed for working students looking to expand their career horizons, this degree is 100% asynchronous online and requires no GRE score.
