WASHINGTON PARISH SCHOOL BOARD COLLECTION

BOOKS AND LEDGERS:

Cash Books:

These cash books record the total of all items of receipts and
disbursements. The items of receipts are distributed according to
their kind–revenue or non-revenue, and according to their
source–state, parish or federal, and according to their
educational purpose–general control, instructional service,
operation of school physical plant, maintenance, auxiliary agencies
or capital outlays. Instructional service is differentiated so as
to show the expenditure for white and black schools according to
the type of school–elementary, high schools, or evening
schools.
