Teaching Resources

Teaching Technologies

The Canvas Asynchronous Training for Southeastern (CATS) course provides faculty with a rich training experience and the resources to navigate Canvas efficiently.

LMS stands for Learning Management System. At Southeastern, the official LMS is Canvas by Instructure.  An LMS is a software application that provides the framework that handles all aspects of the learning process – it’s where you house, deliver, and assess your teaching content.

The LMS administrator duties are performed by the Assistant Director of Educational Technology, Jared Wall, Ed.D. – [email protected]

If you have requests related to the LMS, you will find those request forms here in the CFE Resource Site. These requests include:

  • Sandbox Requests
  • Course Move Requests
  • Student Incomplete Requests
  • Faculty Access Requests

Training resources related to using the Canvas LMS can be found in Canvas as well. Faculty have access to:
