Louisiana National Guard Patriot Scholarship

The Louisiana National Guard Patriot Scholarship offers financial assistance to members of the Louisiana National Guard attending a Louisiana public postsecondary institution who are eligible for the Louisiana Guard Tuition Exemption. This program provides for the payment of mandatory fees charged to the student by the institution. 

• Must be a member in good standing with the Louisiana National Guard
• Must be eligible to receive the Louisiana Guard Tuition Exemption
• Must be enrolled in at least one credit hour at a Louisiana public postsecondary institution

The award amount equals the mandatory fees charged on the fee bill based on enrollment hours. The postsecondary institution determines the award amount for eligible students. It can be awarded for up to 12 semesters. Part-time enrollment in summer sessions counts towards the maximum number of semesters.

• Must be a member in good standing with the Louisiana National Guard
• Must be eligible to receive the Louisiana Guard Tuition Exemption as of the billing date
• Must not have received the scholarship for 12 semesters 
• Must not be on academic probation
• Must not have received the scholarship for four years unless granted an extension due to mobilization or call to active duty
• Must not have achieved a baccalaureate degree utilizing the funds for the program
