Southeastern’s Student Government Association awards Departmental Grants to provide opportunities for Southeastern departments to host educational events on campus or fund projects that will benefit the student body.
The maximum amount a departmental program can apply for shall not exceed $5,000. Requests for small-scale events or guest speaker events may be eligible for up to $1,500. Requests for large-scale or annual/traditional events may be eligible for up to $2,500. Requests for infrastructure projects/equipment may be eligible for up to $5,000. A departmental program may apply for more than one grant as long as the annual allocation does not exceed $5,000.
In order for the grant to be awarded, a bill to fund the grant must be written and passed by the Student Government Association Senate.
