Student Success

Southeastern’s Department of Accounting and Finance provides academic resources to
guarantee each student’s success. From active student organizations to research opportunities,
our students have the resources they need to succeed inside and outside of the classroom.

Academic Advising

All majors in the Department of Accounting and Finance must be advised.

Advising is performed by faculty members in the department. Your advisors are available
to assist with questions you may have about academics and your future as a Finance
or Accounting professional. Advisors will also provide assitance with selecting appropriate
courses in the period leading up to priority registration. Advisors will be contacting
their students when they are ready to set up appointments.

Current Students

Current students may be advised just before and during registration periods. It is
recommended that students be advised within the two weeks before the priority registration
period, as there are a greater number of advisers available.
