The overall educational objective of the biological sciences undergraduate program is to provide students with a conceptual foundation in biology and a skills base necessary to build successful careers in industry or business or to succeed in graduate school or professional school.
The Department of Biological Sciences awards Bachelor of Science degrees in the following concentrations
Undergraduate seniors who have a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.2 on all undergraduate work attempted may be allowed to register for graduate credit if they meet certain criteria listed in the University of Louisiana System regulations for students desiring concurrent enrollment in baccalaureate and master’s degree programs. Students not meeting undergraduate preparatory requirements will not be eligible for this program.
Undergraduate students following a concentration in business have the opportunity to join the STEM to MBA graduate program. Click here for more information.
The minor in Scientific Computing is available to any student enrolled at Southeastern, but it is especially appropriate for majors in the College of Science in Technology. Individuals participating in the minor are required to take 18 hours of courses that are offered in the college. Click here for the curriculum sheet.
