What advice would you give students who are struggling academically?
Recognize your struggle as a need for help, and then reach out/take advantage of the wonderful resources that Southeastern offers. The Tinsley Learning Center offers free tutoring services for all Southeastern students, and the First-Year Success office offers transition assistance for Freshmen through their SE 1010, 1017, and 1020 classes. Academic and career exploration is provided by ACE Coaches for students no longer served by their freshman advisors. Beyond these supports, many academic departments offer a wide variety of resources and assistance for students who need help with being academically successful.

What I love about Southeastern is the friendly, family-like atmosphere!

Bevann has worked with Southeastern’s College of Honors & Excellence (and related offices) since 2017. Prior to her work with the CHE, she worked in the University Housing Office for eleven years and also served as an orientation leader and resident assistant as a student.
