Domestic Violence Awareness Programming

October 9 @ 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Southeastern Louisiana University

October is Domestic Violence Awareness month. You will notice officers wearing cause ribbons on their uniforms as you see them around campus as we help raise awareness for Domestic Violence.

Officers will be tabling in the Student Union on October 8th for Domestic Violence Awareness. As part of this initiative, we are asking our students and staff for your help!

For Domestic Violence survivors who are ready, UPD is asking for you to share your story. These stories will be displayed anonymously at our Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention table on the first floor of the Student Union on October 9th from 10:00AM to 2:00PM.

Students, Faculty and Staff are encouraged to attend, ask questions, and learn about the history of Domestic Violence. Learning about people’s experiences of domestic violence and abuse helps us understand the many forms it can take and how they survived.

We’ve created a QR code as well as a link to submit your stories anonymously:

For questions, please contact the University Police Department: [email protected] or 985-549-2222.
