Honors Program

Southeastern Louisiana University’s Honors Program seeks to educate the whole student and to bridge the gap between curricular and extracurricular learning. The Honors Program hopes to draw curious, motivated and dedicated students who want to be a part of a diverse community of scholars.

Department Highlights

Enjoy smaller seminar-type classes, usually with no more than 20 students.

Take advantage of priority registration each semester.

Receive priority housing in Honors residence halls.

Living Learning Communities

Every fall, the Honors Program partners with University Housing to offer Living Learning Communities (LLCs) open only to first-year students in the Honors Program. The communities are housed in Ascension Hall (pictured below) – a terrific residence hall located in the heart of campus and dedicated exclusively to Honors Program students.
