Photocopying and Scanning Services

Notice: The copyright law of the United States (Title 17 U.S. Code) governs the making of
photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. The person using this
equipment is liable for any infringement.

Due to copyright laws, staff will not scan or photocopy copyrighted materials for
users.

Machines are provided and maintained by Southeastern’s Auxiliary Services. They are located on the 1st and 2nd floors of the library and charge four cents
per copy. Machines take copy cards only. Color copying is not available in the Library.

Copy Cards

  • A Southeastern ID card or a Lion’s Lagniappe card must be used to purchase copies.
  • Money can be added to either card using the Lion’s Lagniappe Value Terminal (LLVT)
    located on the Library’s 1st floor near the Circulation Desk.
  • Guests may purchase and add value to a reusable Lion’s Lagniappe card using the LLVT.
  • There is a non-refundable fee for each card of $1. Value must be added in the amounts
    of $1, $5, $10, or $20.
  • Campus Card Operations is responsible for maintaining the copy card system. They may be contacted regarding
    lost money.

Photocopying/Scanning on First Floor by Checkout Desk

  • User-operated photocopying/scanner is provided.
  • Scanning on a photocopier is free for Southeastern students/faculty/staff and can
    be emailed to a Southeastern email account.
  • Assistance is available.

Photocopying/Scanning on First Floor in Reference Department

  • User-operated photocopying/scanner is provided.
  • Scanning on a photocopier is free for Southeastern students/faculty/staff and can
    be emailed to a Southeastern email account.
  • Assistance is available.
  • Guests without a Southeastern email account may have scans created on a flatbed scanner
    without charge by reference department staff. Scans are emailed to an account provided
    by the guest.

Microform Scanning on Second Floor in Serials Department

  • Assistance is available.
  • Digital microform scanners are available, at no charge, to scan both microfilm and
    microfiche. Users must supply their own disk or flash drive to save the scan or print
    using the print release system. Scans can also be emailed.
