Art Exhibit FAQ

Each high school is only permitted two students per category.

Students my participate in the Art Exhibit regardless of whether they are participating in another District Rally event.

All art work must be ready to display. No easels, frames, hanging materials etc will be provided.

Your high school’s District Rally coordinator will enter you into the appropriate category dependent upon your artwork type. There are four categories: 

I.  Three Dimensional

II.  Two Dimensional:  Oil, Acrylic or Water Medium

III. Two Dimensional Color:  Drawing, Print-Making, Photography, Digital Art

IV. Two Dimensional Black & White:  Drawing, Print-Making, Photography, Digital Art

No. Judging will begin at 10:15 AM when the Art Exhibit doors are closed. They are reopened once judging is complete.

Winners are displayed on each category’s Winners Table and are posted on the Results page of the District Rally website.

All art pieces may be picked up by participants no earlier than 11:00 AM.  Winners may be asked to stay later for pictures. Any art left after 1:00 PM must be picked up at the Office of Admissions the week following District Rally.

Student and Parent FAQ

Your school’s Rally Coordinator should be able to tell you the event in which you are registered.  You can also look on the Literary Events page for a detailed description of each of the events.

The District Rally Association will provide pencils and scantrons for your test, as well as a periodic table posted in the classroom for the Chemistry event.  Certain calculators are allowed for the Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics events ONLY. See the Students & Parents page for the calculator usage policy.

You may ONLY bring a calculator for the Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics events and only specific calculators are allowed.  See the Students and Parents page for calculator usage policy.

 All District Rally tests are limited to one hour only.

If this happens prior to Rally Day, you will want to contact your Rally School Coordinator and notify them of the problem.  If it occurs on Rally Day, you will still be allowed to participate in the event, but you will not be eligible for any honors or awards. You and your school’s Rally Coordinator are strongly encourage to verify all of your information and chosen event are correct prior to Rally Day.

Unofficial results showing District Qualifiers, State Qualifiers and Southeastern Scholarship Winners will be posted on the District Rally website throughout the afternoon of Rally Day.  Each school’s Rally Coordinator will receive an official copy of the scores and rankings approximately two weeks after Rally Day. No scores will be posted on the website.

If you participated in an event and you do not see your name listed in the results, contact your school’s Rally Coordinator for clarification.  Be sure to verify that you participated in the event in which you were registered. For example, students have mistakenly participated in the Algebra I event, but were registered to participate in the Algebra II event.

 The Results page of this website will indicate if you have qualified for State Rally. 

You do not have to register to attend State Rally.  The names of students who qualify are automatically sent to the State Rally Office. Detailed information on State Rally will be sent to you directly from their office.

Yes. Each year you participate in District Rally and place first in your event, you are awarded the Southeastern Freshman Scholastic Achievement Award.  Winners may accumulate as many as four $100 scholarships during high school with the maximum amount not to exceed $400. 

There is nothing you have to do to claim the scholarship.  Each award is posted to the student’s account once they have registered and enrolled as a Beginning Freshman.

School Coordinator FAQ

We have created this website to provide you the information and resources you will need to participate in District Rally.  You will want to start by printing the School Coordinator Rally Checklist and then get your school registered with both the State Rally Association and the District Rally Association. From there, we will guide you through each step of the
process. Feel free to call or email us anytime with any questions you may have.  

Your school’s division will be dependent on the number of students enrolled at your school according to the State Department of Education’s annual report. Division breakdowns can be found on the Rules and Regulations page.

No. Each student may test in no more than one District Rally event, with the exception of the Art Exhibit. Students may participate in the Art Exhibit regardless of whether they are participating in another District Rally event.

Each school may send as many as two students in each event, with ONLY the high scoring of the two being eligible for state competition. An additional $3.00 fee will be assessed for each additional student.

 Yes.  Dual Enrollment students are allowed to participate in District and State Rally.

For block schedule schools, student eligibility is determined by the date of that year’s District Rally. A detailed explanation of the policy regarding block school eligibility can be found on the Rules and Regulations page.

You do not have to register your students to attend State Rally.  The names of the students who qualify are automatically sent to the State Rally Office. Detailed information on State Rally is sent directly to you from their office.

There is no longer a printable Foreign Language form.  Each school will be prompted to verify their Foreign Language students when registering the students in the District Rally Registration System.

The SLDRA Business Meeting will be held at 1:00PM on February 6, 2024 in the Alumni Center on Southeastern’s campus.

Rally Headquarters will be located on the third floor of the War Memorial Student Union in Room A.

The Hospitality Room will be located on the third floor of the War Memorial Student Union in Room C.

Buses will drop off participants in the circle drive of the War Memorial Student Union. Buses will then be directed by Campus Police to the Strawberry Stadium parking lot.
