PMS Biography

    Lieutenant Colonel David Marshall, Jr. was born April 2, 1978 in Zachary, Louisiana
to the parents of David and Delsia Marshall, Sr. Beginning his military career in
1992, Lieutenant Colonel Marshall became a member of the Junior Reserve Officer Training
Corps at Clinton High School, Clinton, LA. Lieutenant Colonel Marshall graduated from
Clinton High School in 1996 and continued pursuing his military career at the Southern
University and Agricultural and Mechanical College (A&M) Reserve Officer Training
Corps (ROTC), Baton Rouge, LA. In 2001, Lieutenant Colonel Marshall commissioned as
a second lieutenant in the United States Army as an Ordnance Corps Officer.

    Lieutenant Colonel Marshall has a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science
from Southern University A&M College, Baton Rouge, LA, and a Master of Arts degree
in Procurement and Acquisition Management from Webster University, Webster Groves,
MO.
   

    Lieutenant Colonel Marshall’s military education includes the Ordnance Officer
Basic Course, Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD, the Army Logistics Management College,
Fort Lee, VA, the Command and General Staff Officer College, Fort. Leavenworth, KS,
the Support Operations Course, Joint Logistics Course, Military Transition Team Course,
Maintenance Leaders Course, Action Officers Development Course, Manager Leaders Course,
and the First Army Observer Coach/Trainer Course. Lieutenant Colonel Marshall also
has a Project Development Skill Identifier in the area of Defense Support of Civil
Authorities. Lieutenant Colonel Marshall is currently assigned to Southern University
and A&M College as the Army Senior ROTC Professor of Military Science. His previous
assignments are 125th Forward Support Battalion , 3rd Brigade, 1st Armored Division
Fort Riley, KS (2002-2005), 3rd Brigade 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, KS, (2006-2008),
1st Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, Joint Readiness Training Center and Fort Polk, LA
(2008-2012, 2018-2019), 177th Armored Brigade, Camp Shelby, MS (2014-2016).
   

    Lieutenant Colonel Marshall’s deployments are Operation Iraqi Freedom 2003-2004,
Operation Iraqi Freedom 2007-2008, Operation Enduring Freedom, Afghanistan 2011-2012,
Task Force Sinai, Multinational Force and Observers, Sinai Egypt (2013-2014), and
the United States Training Mission, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (2016-2018).

    Lieutenant Colonel Marshall’s service awards include the Bronze Star Medal with
Oak Leaf Cluster, Purple Heart, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service
Medal – three Oak Leaf Clusters, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation
Medal, Army Achievement Medal – one oak leave cluster, National Defense Service Medal,
Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary
and Service.
