The Prepare for Success is designed to equip you, as a new Southeastern student, with the tools and resources
you need to have a successful first year.

PFSS Express Track

 

At Prepare for Success, you will:

 

– Pick-Up Rental Textbooks for your classes.*For students who have paid all fees*

– Pick-Up Student ID, if you haven’t received it yet! *For students who have paid all fees*

– Register for a Meal Plan, complete your Financial Aid (if needed), or visit the
University Housing Office. 

– Join your fellow students as you complete the “Lion Crawl” connecting valuable on-campus
resources.

– Learn more about our Mane Experience events and activities!

STEPS ON HOW TO REGISTER

When registering for a Prepare for Success, please select (1) Track either SEMINAR or EXPRESS, (1) date and (1) time to complete a session. 

 

What’s the Difference in the Tracks?

 

    Seminar Track

    Express Track

The Prepare for Success Seminar will take you one step further and help you answer
the following questions:

  • How do I succeed in my first class?
  • How do I approach my professors?
  • How do I keep track of my finances?
  • How do I read the syllabus?
  • And by the way, what is the syllabus?

This day conference is designed for those who want to know more about the college
classroom experience. Space is limited, so it is a new-student only event.

We’ll have some goodies for you including breakfast, roundtables with people in your
area of study, engaging sessions, and of course, a free t-shirt for staying the day!

 Session Times for 8/15/2023: 9:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 11:00 AM, and 12:00 PM

On the day of your Express Track, there will be Three Checkpoints to complete!

Checkpoint 1

Check In and receive your Passport and swag bag! We will review the “New Lion” To-Do
List (The first floor of the War Memorial Student Union)

Checkpoint 2

Complete your FIRST Get ENGAGED Activity, by using your passport on the “Lion Crawl”
in the War Memorial Student Union and other areas of our beautiful campus!

Checkpoint 3

Check out and Get ENGAGED at in the Student Union first floor with hands-on activities
and a photo booth. 

Time Commitment: Monday, August 14th 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Time Commitment: Most students take 2 to 3 hours to complete the Express Track.
