Types of On-Campus Interviews

Pre-Select Interview

Pre-select Interviews allow qualifying students and alumni the ability to sign up
for a chance to interview with an employer. After the application deadline, the employer
reviews all resumes submitted and selects those individuals they wish to interview.
You will be notified by email approximately ten days prior to the interview date by
Career Services (CS) if you are chosen for an interview by the employer. Those selected
will then need to select an interview time slot on a first-come, first-served basis.

Open Interview

Open Interviews provide qualifying students and alumni with an opportunity to sign
up for an actual interview with an employer where the employer does no pre-selecting
of applicants. Students and alumni first submit their resumes for the interview and
are then given the opportunity to select an interview time slot approximately ten
days prior to the actual interview date on a first-come, first-served basis. You will
be notified via email by Career Services (CS) when interview sign-ups can occur.

Information Session

Information Sessions are group-based sessions that allow employers to provide students
and alumni with information on employment opportunities available with their organization.
Students and alumni can learn about various job opportunities, requirements and qualifications,
and job application procedures. Information sessions are a terrific opportunity to
network with an employer and are often the first step to securing an actual interview.

NOTE: Information regarding all On-Campus Interviews will be provided to you from Career
Services via email. It is important to make sure that the email address you have listed
in Handshake is accurate and an email that you use frequently. We suggest using your
University issued email address.

There may be instances where spam filters prohibit your ability to receive emails
sent by Career Services in Handshake. It is your responsibility to keep up to date
with the status of your On-Campus Interview applications by checking them in Handshake.
Not having received an email from the Office of Career Services is not an acceptable
excuse for not signing up for an interview time.
